Gina Silverstone - 2025

Gina has volunteered a huge amount of her time,
efforts and energy into making Hobart Out Tennis a
success. With a fierce commitment for social justice
and creating a more inclusive tomorrow, she has
brought her best to the club and committee in a
number of roles, from committee member to
treasurer to Vice-President and Culture Lead.

Gina’s significance comes not just in her initiatives
(like the Square Reader), her planning (including the
first Launceston Roadshow), her consistent
attendance at tennis events (from weekly social all
the way through to her non-preferred
tournaments). Gina’s greatest significance can be
found in her fierce investment in people: ensuring
the ongoing utilisation of pronoun badges, bringing
Acknowledgement of Country into the HOT lexicon,
and establishing herself as the first Culture Lead for
the Committee. Gina has tirelessly devoted herself
to making the HOT environment fun, welcoming
and successful. She will be greatly missed by the
Committee, but we are thrilled to know that her
influence and involvement will continue to make the
club even better.

Hobart Out Tennis is proud to bestow Honorary
Life Membership on Gina Silverstone.
