A HOT Winter Compass Competition

A HOT Winter Compass Competition 2025 is back on Saturday 9 August (Doubles) from 10am – 5pm and Sunday 10 August (Singles) from 9am to 4pm at Domain Tennis Centre. You can register for either or both events. Note that this is not a GLTA event and wont earn ranking points.

We are playing on both Plexicushion hard court or synthetic grass.

In addition, there will also be a Saturday night event to be announced soon

If you do not have a doubles partner, you can enter "Player Wanted" for Doubles partner field and we will match you with another player.

Compass Draw Format

The Compass format is designed to be socially-oriented with every person guaranteed 4 matches for each day (based on draw size of 32), covering singles and doubles. Starting with a single draw, each player/team goes east whenever they win. If a player/team loses, they will go west. Eventually, after 3 matches, the player/teams will have played into the semifinals of their respective compass segments. The Compass draw is designed so that you should play closer to your level after each subsequent match. After that lunch, it will be knock out semis/finals.
