Brendon Oliver-Ewen - 2023
Brendon Oliver-Ewen is one of the pillars and founding members of Hobart Out Tennis.
Serving on our first committee as legal adviser and Public Officer, he helped establish the framework and infrastructure for the Club, with one of his first jobs being to write our Constitution in 2020 when the club became affiliated with Tennis Tasmania. Becoming Secretary from 2021, his impact could be immediately felt with him bringing a heightened level of sophistication to the administration of the club. He put in countless hours to set up a partnership program for the club, talked to various Tasmanian media outlets about the club's purpose and drive for equality, wrote numerous submissions to Government and private entities for grants and support, created a program of sponsorship which resulted in countless gifts and donations from local businesses, ran the social media accounts, raised the profile of the club through various channels, organised every committee meeting, helping plan and run every event and tournament, and the list goes on...
Underneath all the work he does, everyone can see that he is very passionate about the club and the impact from all that he gives to the club is immeasurable and forever lasting. We will long remember Brendon during our committee meetings for his sporadic outburst into songs whilst giving the side eye to keep people in line.
Hobart Out Tennis is proud to bestow Honorary Life Membership to Brendon Oliver-Ewen
