Once again, we need to inform our membership of the passing of one of our much loved players.

Vicki Young developed some cold and cough type symptoms about 7 weeks ago. Just over 2 weeks later she was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and after putting up a courageous, valiant fight, Vicki succumbed to this dreadful disease late last Friday night.

We offer our sincere condolences to her husband, three children plus one grandee and all of her many, many friends. Vicki had been a member of TSSA for a relatively short time. She entered a team in the Monday night mixed comp in Summer 2023. T he Men in that team did not wish to play the following Winter Comp so Vicki with close friend Nat Johncock joined up with the Thunderbirds team. Vicki was quick to gain many friends in the few seasons to follow and most will remember her cheery smile, competitive nature on court and mostly those wicked slice forehands and backhands.

Vicki was only a very young 60.
