Dear Members

At our Junior information evening on Wednesday 27th April we invited Michael Sukkar, Federal Member of Parliament for Deakin, to present the Perpetual Awards to our Junior recipients.

I am delighted to to advise Michael announced his commitment that funding of $50,000.00 would be forthcoming as a Federal Government contribution towards LED lighting across all 8 courts at Heatherdale Tennis Club on his reelection as the Member for Deakin and the return of the Coalition Government.

Michael has been involved with our Club for a number of years and was instrumental in the building of our wonderful deck where he was able to provide $25,000.00 of Federal Government funding.

In his announcement he praised the hard work of the Committee over a number of years in the professional way the Club is run. He commented about what a wonderful feel the Club has and the vibrancy of our members. He stated with the growth and enthusiasm within the club we deserve the support he and Governments in general could offer.

Michael has been and continues to be a great supporter and friend of our Club.

We wish him well in the upcoming election and look forward to working with him to achieve our aim to Illuminate Heatherdale Tennis Club.

Thank you to all our members for your ongoing support

David Webb

President HTC

Cheers
