Introduction
Located in the heart of Altona, within the City of Hobsons Bay, Altona Tennis Club is the largest tennis facility within Melbourne’s western region.
In 2019, Altona Tennis Club was ranked the 33rd club in the state for participation by Tennis Victoria and our head coach, Mark Peel was named Club Coach of the Year in 2020 by Tennis Coaches Australia Victoria.
Altona Tenns Club has 11 courts, all of which have floodlights, allowing our members to play all year round and into the evenings. There is a centrally located clubhouse with change rooms, kitchen and toilet facilities.
The club's courts have recently been resurfaced and revamped. All 11 courts are brand new, with 5 classic clay courts and 6 en-tout-cas (porous) courts.
Altona Tennis Club aims to foster the education and development of junior members and provide recreational and competition programs for adults and seniors. We offer a range of social tennis options and organised programs and have teams playing in many different levels of competition.
New coaching participants, members and competition players are welcome! Our coaching partner Vida Tennis offers a free introductory lesson to new participants.
