Altona Tennis Club offers competition for women, men and mixed teams.

Individual players looking to join a team, or whole teams looking for a club are welcome!

• Western Suburbs Night Tennis Group (WSNTG)

This hugely popular and social competition is made up of doubles teams for men (from 7pm Tuesdays) and women (from 7pm Wednesdays). With six sections, it caters to most abilities and Altona has teams playing across most sections. The competition takes place at clubs across the Western Suburbs and normally includes dinner, which is currently on pause due to the pandemic.

• Western Region Tennis Association (WRTA) Weekend Comp 

This popular weekend tennis competition has pennant and mixed doubles format on Saturday afternoons and Altona has teams playing across a few sections. The competition takes place at clubs across the Western Suburbs. Normally includes afternoon tea, which is currently on pause due to the pandemic.

• WRTA Mid Week Ladies 

This long-running weekly competition for ladies teams takes place on Tuesdays. With five team members playing each week. Altona does not currently have a team in this competition, however we hope to gather enough interest from ladies who are able to commit to playing regularly so that we can enter a team for the next season  This is a social and friendly competition, which is played around clubs in the Western Suburbs, and normally includes a light lunch for those who are in a position to stay around after play has concluded.

• Victoria Pennant 

This is the highest standard of tennis for amateurs in Victoria, with a range of sections available for men and women. The competition takes place at clubs across the greater Melbourne region. Altona has teams playing in a few sections and is always keen to enter new teams, so get in touch if you're interested in finding out more.
