Improving our Period Support Services for our members
The lack of period-specific hygiene services at the Club was raised with our Committee by two of our young female members, Brooke Walton and Holly Nolan. The Committee confirmed the Club’s related OH&S responsibilities and also noted a related player retention issue, particularly with our young women, who stop playing tennis in their adolescent years, in some cases due to inadequate facilities and services.

President's End of Year Message
Summer is here and I expect Weston Creek Tennis Club will be buzzing. This summer will be huge for Australian tennis. The world’s best players will compete across the country throughout January. Canberra, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart will host major events as players prepare for the 112th Australian Open from 8 - 28 of January.

New Court Project Update Nov 2024
Our Development Application has been submitted and is in review. The Federal Grant Agreement milestones have been renegotiated and approved. Final court designs and contracts are now being negotiated. A funding issue relating to additional drainage tank costs is being reviewed and a resolution is being sought. Court construction is likely to commence in Feb/Mar 2025 with completion within three months.

Young Club Members Represent the ACT at Bruce Cup
Two Club members recently represented the ACT at the Bruce Cup in Darwin. Adele Mewett and Eliza Devic were two of just seven girls to represent the Territory and travel to Darwin to play against the best Australia has to offer. The Weston Creek Tennis Club is extremely proud of this achievement and has rewarded the girls with a $200 payment to offset the cost of their uniform, travel and accommodation.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities 24-hour Cardio Challengeand FREE Tennis Community Day will take place at Weston Creek Tennis Club from 4pm this Friday 25 October 2024, finishing at 4pm on Saturday 26 October.

Weston Creek Tennis Club Message in support of Graeme Rossiter’s Eulogy
On behalf of the Weston Creek Tennis Club, I would like to thank Graeme’s family for this opportunity to celebrate Graeme’s life and his service to our Club. I am Phillip Stephens, a committee member, and I was fortunate to work closely with Graeme. I am now honoured to share with you how well he served as a player, leader, volunteer and friend.
