About
The Weston Creek Tennis Club (WCTC) was established in 1971 as a community facility operated by a volunteer committee. Since this time the club has enjoyed a long and proud history of being an open and welcoming club for all. WCTC will continue to operate as a community club, supporting and servicing the needs of its members and the local community.
WCTC became an incorporated club (under the Associations Incorporation Act 1991) with the first certificate of incorporation issued in 1981. The club was granted a lease of 25 years in 1983, after which time the lease was renewed for a further 99 years. Four coaching contracts have been awarded since 1984 with the present contract with Canberra School of Tennis being in place since 2001.
WCTC is the largest public tennis facility on the Southside of Canberra. As a non−profit club, it uses income from membership fees and coaching contracts to fund the ongoing running and maintenance of the club and its facilities.
