The WHTC Sun Protection Policy is designed to provide a safe environment for their members when exposed to the sun. The measures listed in this policy are for use during daily local sun protection times or when outside for extended periods, and include:

- Scheduling training, competition and events outside peak exposure times
- Providing appropriate shade and indoor areas
- Uniform/dress code should be protective
- Sunscreen (SPF 50+) should be worn
