Dear fellow members of St Christopher’s Tennis Club

With the end of 2023 rapidly approaching, we have much to remember, cherish, be grateful for and celebrate.

On behalf of the Committee, I would like to invite all our members and your families to an informal BBQ function at the clubrooms from 5:30pm for 6 o’clock on Sunday 10 December.  The Club will provide food and soft drinks.  Please bring your own beer or wine.  The evening will feature:

• An opportunity to view all of the significant improvements to our facilities which have been implemented this year with the wise expenditure of grant funds from Suburban Rail Loop Community Projects Fund, including upgraded kitchen, external beautification works and the hitting/ warm-up area on the eastern side of the clubrooms;
• Acknowledgement of the efforts of all of our competition teams and their dedicated captains in WDTA, BDNTA and Metro Masters competitions through the 2023 Autumn and Spring seasons;
• Acknowledgement of the work of our coach, Alexei Demajo and his team from Future Demand Tennis, especially Club Champion and Committee member Tao Hu;
• Presentations to our 2023 Singles and Doubles Club Champions; and
• Plenty of time to catch up with each other, share stories and ideas for the future, reflect of past glories and past stalwarts of the club.

There might also be a raffle - you never know!

At 9pm we will ceremonially turn on the new LED court lights, the other great asset we now enjoy courtesy of our SRLCPF grant.  

We will close the evening by 9:30, acknowledging that for many members there will still be a couple of working weeks to go before Christmas.
