Social Tennis
NOTE: Whilst LPTC does have racquets for visitor's to use, they are only available for use during social tennis.
SATURDAYS
We welcome players of all abilities – the focus is having fun! Social doubles play takes place from 1pm to 5pm every Saturday during the 2024-25 season. Open Day 24/25 season will be on Saturday 12th October 2024, after which social tennis will run to continue until May 2025.
Members are rostered on as Duty Captains throughout the season and to schedule play using match software. Players are usually matched against people of similar ability and most players get to meet and play with everyone. Social tennis is open to members and to visitors. We would greatly appreciate bringing of food for the afternoon tea.
Visitors play for free on their first visit. After then, visitors pay $15 to play social tennis for the whole afternoon or $10 for half the afternoon (before or after afternoon tea).
Members pay $3 to cover the cost of balls.
WEDNESDAY TWILIGHT TENNIS
Twilight tennis (5 to 7 pm) is a regular summer feature and is extremely popular during the warmer months. Typically commencing first week of November and continues until May or until weather permits.
Twilight tennis is free for members and is $5 for visitors.
