Court 1 - Resurfacing

WPTC advises that Court 1 will be out of action from April 27 to May 2 due to resurfacing works. At the conclusion of the works, Court 1 will have an all new surface ready for play.

LED Lighting Upgrade

WPTC advises that works will commence on May 18, 2026 to upgrade all court lighting to the latest technology LED's. As part of the works, all lighting poles will also be replaced. Works are due to be finished in late June and this will provide a much improved player experience as well as significant cost and Co2 savings. There will be some disruption so we appreciate everyone's patience in the coming weeks.

The 2026 WPTC Club Championships will celebrate the best of our club’s talent, passion and sportsmanship. Over the course of three exciting weekends, players will compete across junior and open divisions to crown our next club champions. Dates: Saturday 14th February – Sunday 1st March, 2026

WPTC Major Upgrades in 2026

WPTC will see two major upgrades in the first half of 2026. Court 1 will have a full refurbishment with a new playing surface. In addition, all courts will be upgraded to the latest technology LED lighting - providing a much better playing experience at night as well as significant Co2 and energy cost reductions.

Thursday Night Men's grand final saw Battlers claim victory, defeating their club rivals Beer Pigs. The boys celebrated long and hard ....well done to the winning team.

Open Rubbers 1 team of Sebastian Humphries and Arlo Clarke (pictured in blue) recently defeated Fitzroy on their way to competing for the title of best juniors in Eastern Region this winter season. The boys are well supported all the way by coaches - Pete, Andy and Andre.

Masters Monash Tennis Tournament Winners

The 2025 Masters Monash Tennis Vic Tournament held recently at Jells Park tennis complex saw five Wonga Park mid week ladies playing in the event across various age groups. Congratulations to Vanessa and Katherine who were winners on the day in their group event. Rachel and Jenny finished runners up in their group.

Book A Court Now Available for non-members

Court #1 - a standalone hard court at the northern end of the club - is now available for members of the Wonga Park Community to book and have a hit of tennis. Bookings are done via the WPTC website and once you pay online you'll be sent a 9 digit PIN to access the court. $20/hour for non-members. Check the website for dates and times.

2025 Victorian Seniors Tennis Tournament

Tennis Seniors Victoria is running a ladies only seniors round robin tournament on Sunday May 4 (1pm start). Enter with a partner or they will pair you up.
