2025 Coaching Program (from start of Term 1)

WPTC offers a huge array of coaching options from beginners to advanced. No matter your skill level, we have a suitable option for you in either private or group sessions. Coaching is available from 6:30am to 8:30pm. Sessions include: Kids - Early Birds, Kinder Kids, Hot Shots for Primary School Kids, Young Guns & Private Sessions. Adults - Cardio Tennis, Monday Morning Social, Night Owls and Private Sessions. We also run Development and Super Squads for more advanced players.

Kids Tennis Clinics - Thursday 9 January

The biggest event of the Summer - the 2025 Australian Open is just around the corner. Wonga Park Tennis Club is excited to announce it will be hosting the next biggest thing on Thursday 9 January - Our Aus Open Kids Clinic. Kids 5 years or younger will run from 9am to 10am. Older kids enrolled begin straight after at 10am and run until 11:30am. The price is just $50 per child. Snacks, drinks, prizes and racquets provided. Matt Dellavedova playing in the Australian Open

WPTC member Matt Dellavedova will make his Grand Slam qualifying debut next month at the Australian Open having received a qualifying wild card after a stellar 2024 on tour. Qualifying for the year's first grand slam tournament will begin on Monday January 6 and run through to Saturday January 11, 2025.

Launders Ave Car park closed for 2 weeks from 6 January 2025

Manningham Council advises that the Launders Ave Car park will be closed for approximately 2 weeks from 6 January 2025 (inclusive) due to road works in the area. The street carparking off Old Yarra Road directly adjacent to WPTC will be fully available as per normal.

Kids Pre Christmas Coaching Clinics

Wonga Park Tennis Club is excited to announce the best way to pass the time before Santa arrives…….TENNIS! On Monday 23rd of December, two kids clinics will be run at the Club; 5 years or younger & 6 years or older. The younger kids will kick off at 9am, and run until 10am before the older kids take over straight after and run through to 11.30am. The cost is just $50 per child.

Sunday 15 December will see the top local players fighting it out in the finals of the 2024 Club Championships. Indicative match times - 11am Girls' Open Final, 1pm Boys' Open Final, 3pm Women's Open Final and 5pm Men's Open Final. Come and see some great tennis and celebrate the festive season with us.

Matt Dellavedova wins first title on the Australian Pro Tour

WPTC member Matt Dellavedova has won the Men's title at the Gold Coast Tennis International over the weekend defeating Australian Open 2023 doubles champion Jason Kubler . A set down in the final, Matt shifted the momentum, ultimately winning the match 3-6 6-3 6-2. It capped off a stellar week where Matt did not lose a set prior to his match with Kubler.
