What Team Brisbane Tennis stands for
Team Brisbane Tennis has been around for almost two decades, and the decision was taken in 2018 by the then TBT Committee to incorporate the Club under the Queensland Associations Incorporations Act 1981. Since 2019, the Club has been incorporated and enjoys 'not for profit' status. Its primary goal is to organise tennis socials and events around Brisbane at a local, national and even International level.
Whilst TBT's core focus is to organise tennis activities for the LGBTQIA+ community, everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy the programming.
We aim to provide a safe and inclusive space where players can be themselves while enjoying a fun game of tennis, whether socially or competitively.
Currently, we organise social tennis at the Queensland Tennis Centre located at Tennyson. Head to our Social Tennis page for more details.
We also have a large annual event, Brisbane Open, with plans to increase those offerings with more competitions planned in 2023. More information can be found on our News & Events page, including information about our premier tournament Brisbane Open 2023 GLTA Masters Series Event.
The TBT Committee is dedicated to facilitating LGBTQIA+ community engagement through tennis and seeks to promote inclusion, acceptance and a safe social space that engenders a positive sense of community belonging.

We are affiliated with Tennis Queensland, abide by Tennis Australia national policies, and assist with advice on important documents within this sport, such as the recently released Transgender Inclusion Guidelines for Community Tennis.
