Who we are!

WE HAVE MOVED - we now operate out of the QUEENSLAND TENNIS CENTRE TENNYSON effective April 10, 2023.

Visit the Team Brisbane Tennis Facebook page and become a member of Brisbane's largest LGBTQIA+ tennis group. We are a not-for-profit organisation. We like to think we operate a supportive, encouraging and vibrant atmosphere that seeks to promote and facilitate diverse and inclusive tennis across Brisbane and Australia.  We've begun to make a name for ourselves with the Brisbane Open, our annual Open Competition now attracting players from all over the globe!

We welcome players of all levels over the age of 18; from beginner to advanced of any gender, sexuality, ability and background to join our community and participate in our scheduled events.  We strongly emphasise diversity and inclusivity and are always protective of providing a safe and supportive space for everyone to enjoy.  Team Brisbane Tennis has a Code of Conduct that enshrines our values and ensures that ableism, sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any form of discrimination is not tolerated.

We run regular Social Tennis events; feel free to join us and enjoy a game!

All communications about our events are communicated through our TBT Website, and we also use our TBT WhatsApp Community (opt-in) to keep you updated on events, weather that threatens play and other TBT activities!

Annually, we host our Brisbane Open Tournament as part of the  GLTA World Tour, which is an international tennis competition that sees competitors bash it out from over 28 countries to compete for the glory! Visit and join our Meta page dedicated to the Brisbane Open to get a feel for how we have run things, and we are only getting better, bigger, and louder in 2023!

Year after year, we are witnessing an increased convergence of players across Australia, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas. Our tournament runs over a long weekend, usually in July, from Friday to Monday.  The tournament is hosted at the Queensland Tennis Centre located at 190 King Arthur Terrace, Tennyson, QLD 4105.

Register NOW for the Brisbane 2023 GLTA Masters Series Tennis Tournament and be part of the show!

“Tennis uses the language of life. Advantage, service, fault, break, love – the basic elements of tennis are those of everyday existence, because every match is a life in miniature.” - Andre Agassi
