Murrumbateman Tennis Club

Murrumbateman has an active Tennis Club with a history dating back 100 years. Our three courts, which are located at the Murrumbateman Recreation Ground on the traditional lands of the Ngunnawal people, were upgraded in 2007 to a first class synthetic grass playing surface, thanks to the generous financial support of the Murrumbateman Progress Association and the Yass Valley Council. A grant from the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities fund enabled the installation of excellent LED lighting in 2020.  In 2022 a grant from the NSW Government's  Regional Sport Facility Fund  enabled  a major upgrade of our playing surface. The Club organises regular mid-week social tennis  and other programs for players of all standards . We offer a Community Play program on Sundays during school term and Spinifex Tennis provides professional coaching services.  Our courts are available for hire and new members are always most welcome.
