The Ironbark Tennis Club (IBTC) is located in the heart of Bendigo with a proud 95+ year history of promoting tennis in Bendigo.
Situated on Don St, one of Bendigo’s most iconic corners the IBTC boasts four synthetic grass courts and our community hall clubhouse.
In recent years a new active committee has embraced the challenges of regenerating the tired facilities and have just replaced two courts with a new synthetic surface. Investing in the club and members has seen membership grow as we continue to work with the City of Greater Bendigo to develop, maintain and preserve our site.
The IBTC prides itself on being affordable, inclusive, and welcoming with a fundamental belief that tennis is a sport for all.
We welcome everyone to come join us in the 2024/25 Summer of tennis.
We would like to acknowledge and extend our appreciation for the Dja Dja Wurrung People, the Traditional Owners of the land that we are standing on today. yirrip is the Traditional name for red ironbark.
Today, we pay our respects to leaders and Elder’s past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of all Dja Dja Wurrung People.
We express our gratitude in the sharing of this land, our sorrow for the personal, spiritual and cultural costs of that sharing and our hope that we may walk forward together in harmony and in the spirit of healing.
