Annual Report

Please find below my report for the year 2024-25.

                                                                PRESIDENT'S REPORT 2025

It has been a year of growth for the Tennis Club. Our membership is at it's highest in many years, and our financial position is growing strongly in line with our growth in membership. We did empty the coffers some two and a half years ago to build the new courts but it has paid dividends with the increase in membership and court usage. Much of this can be credited to our Coach, Steve Storer, who is doing a great job growing Tennis at Ironbark. I would also like to thank our sponsors, Butterfly Audiology, PH Property, and R.B.Sellars for their strong and continuing support.Steve has also built a strong relationship with Girton Grammar and to see the amount of children having their first hit of tennis on our courts is most gratifying.

The growth in the club is also evident in the fact that we have ten teams ( 5 junior and 5 senior) competing in  the Summer Comps at the BTC this year. We wish them well. One of our aims is to continue to upgrade and improve the amenities at the Club. Our priorities are lighting, new fencing, improved toilet facilities and landscaped surrounds. To this end, we have been meeting with Council to put our case. They have agreed to include the lighting and fencing in this year's budget submissions . That is a start , but we will continue to work with them to get this happening. Also, we have partnered with Tennis Vic to bring on board a Club Services Officer in a part-time position. The role will be to work with the committee on such things as grant applications , strategic planning , communication with Council and keeping our Social Media platforms updated.

Finally, I would like to thank the Committee for their support , especially our Treasurer and vice-president Mick Dunne who has done a power of work this year and made my life a lot easier.

Best regards,

Adrian Cox

President.
