Welcome to our July newsletter.

Anyone with children or grandchildren will be well aware that this weekend is the beginning of the school holidays. If you are looking for something for them to do which is both healthy and fun, then get them down to the Tennis Club next Tuesday the 8th, Wednesday the 9th and Thursday the 10th.Our coach Steve Storer is running a Holiday Clinic from 10.00 am to 11.15 am each morning .The cost is $60.00 for the three days. This should not impact our Ladies Social Tennis on Thursday as Steve will require only one court that morning.

Other good news for the club is that Steve has again secured Girton Grammer's Tennis programme for this year. This will run from July until October. This means on certain days at certain times all courts will be booked out. There is one day in July, which is the 24th that the courts will be booked out from 11.20 am until 1.00 pm. The Ladies may have to start a little earlier that morning.I will inform you at the start of each month which days/times that Steve will be using the courts. Over the period  of four months there will be in excess of 500 pupils playing tennis at Ironbark, hopefully we can manage to tweak the interest of some to continue and join the Club. Congratulations to Steve on building a strong relationship.

Pickleball. We have now replaced the damaged net on court one outside,and put a new complete net on the inside court. Therefore , from Saturday the 12th of July we are offering Social Pickleball to our members. If you have been thinking of taking it up we will be happy to show you the ropes, and if the weather is not good we do have the inside court.It is a game for the whole family so everyone  can come along. All equipment will be supplied and it will be free of charge for the next three months. The start time is 10.00 and will run until around 12.00. Look forward to seeing you there.
