EPTC enters junior (up to age 18) teams into the Waverley District Tennis Association (WDTA) Competition on Saturdays and Sundays. The gradings range from beginners up to an advanced level of tennis to accommodate all players of different skill levels.

We offer both a Winter season, from April onwards, and a Summer season, from early October onwards, in a 14-week season plus finals series. These are played on a “home and away” basis, whereby half the matches will be played at an EPTC home venue, and the other half at various opposition venues. As we field many teams at Eildon Park TC, we often arrange for some “home games” to be played at outside courts in close proximity to EPTC. Parents are expected to take turns in escorting team members to outside venues and to occasionally supervise Eildon Park “home” venues also. Team rosters that outline when and where teams are playing each week and when parents are on supervisor duty will be prepared and distributed at the start of the season.

All players are required to purchase and wear an EPTC shirt at all matches.

In keeping with recommendations from Tennis Vic, all EPTC coaches and committee members have a current Working With Children check.

Our Junior Convenor, Samantha Weerasuriya, does a fantastic job organising weekend junior tennis and is an asset to our club at EPTC

Saturday matches

Players need to be at EPTC at 8:00 am for an 8:15 am start. Matches must be finished by 12:30 pm.
Teams are “selected” prior to each season, with generally 5 players per team. This allows for a team roster to cover family events/holidays, illness, school camps, etc
Higher grades (B Special upwards) also have the option of playing a Singles/Doubles Rubbers format.

Sunday matches

Players need to be at EPTC at 8:15 am for a 8:30 am start. Matches must be finished by 12:00 noon.
The match day teams generally consist of 3 players (unisex – any mix of boys and girls), with each player playing one singles and 2 doubles sets.
Teams are “selected” prior to each season, with generally 4 players per team. This allows for a team roster to cover family events/holidays, illness, school camps, etc
Higher grades (B Special upwards) also have the option of playing a Singles/Doubles Rubbers format.
There is a competition entry fee each season per player. All players must be financial members of EPTC and be registered players with Tennis Victoria. To Join the Club please refer to our Membership page for more details.
