Restricted Liquor Licence

East Burwood Tennis has an annually renewable restricted liquor licence that authorises the Club to supply alcohol with substantially restricted scale and limited scope.

By not complying with these restrictions the club and/or responsible person(s) could face hefty infringement notices or fines in accordance with the 1988 Liquor Control Reform Act. Further implications could see the club lose not only the liquor licence but also the right to run the tennis club.

In summary, in order to be in compliance with the restrictions, members and committee members must strictly observe the following rules with regard to consuming and selling alcohol on the premises:

- Supply only to members and guests within the license's red-inked area.

- Selling of alcohol is within Trading hours as stipulated on the licence

- BYO alcohol is strictly prohibited (unless it has prior approval from the committee)

- Not to supply alcohol to or allow drunken, intoxicated person on-premises

- Adhere to the 1988 Liquor Control Reform Act, Section 120 regarding supply and protection of underage children drinking
