Wednesday Morning Ladies Social Tennis

Every Wednesday morning Willison Park has social tennis for women members and their guests (guests must be accompanied by a member). Starting from 8:45am, you can usually have 1 or 2 sets before finishing at about 10/10:30am.

We usually have one or two courts of doubles and we swap around after each set. Come along, meet other club members, have fun and join us for a morning tea in the clubhouse afterwards.

Sunday Afternoon Social Tennis

Our coaching team runs social tennis events including post play drinks on a Sunday afternoon from time to time.  These are free for members and available for a small charge for non members.  The events alternate between adults only and parent and child events.  Subject to demand we hope to make these a regular event. Members will be emailed advising of any planned events.

Friday Evening Social Tennis

Four tennis clubs in the local area take turns to host friendly social tennis every Friday evening from 7.30pm. Willison Park hosts these social evenings on the 4th Friday of every month.

All players are welcome to just turn up on the night (members and non-members, all ages, and all abilities), and usually play several sets of doubles with rotating partners. A $2 fee for each player covers the cost of balls and courts. Players are also welcome to BYO some snacks and drinks to share after play has finished.

You are also able to attend the nights at the other clubs involved.

East Camberwell -1st Friday

North Balwyn  - 2nd Friday

Canterbury - 3rd Friday and 5th Friday if there is one

WPTC Social Hitting WhatsApp Group

Looking for a hitting partner? We are frequently asked by new members about how to find a hitting partner.  To help with this, we have set up a WhatsApp group called the WPTC Social Hitting group.  Everyone is welcome to join it and you can then put a message out looking for someone to play with. You would just need to specify your standard and when you want to play.  Hopefully this will help members get to know other players of a similar standard.
