On Saturday, 31 January 2026, the club hosted a successful Open Day that brought together members, families, and local supporters to celebrate tennis and community spirit.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the 2026 Ian Henderson Encouragement Scholarship to promising young player Durja Grant. The scholarship recognises junior players who demonstrate enthusiasm, dedication, and strong potential in the sport.
Durja was joined by his family for the special moment, celebrating his achievement and the recognition of his hard work on and off the court.
The event was also attended by Matt Fregon, Member of Parliament for Ashwood, who joined club representatives and members in supporting the next generation of tennis players.
Photos from the day capture Durja with his family, as well as a group photo featuring Durja and his family alongside Ian Henderson, Matt Fregon, and Roger Church.
The Open Day was a great success, highlighting the club’s commitment to encouraging young talent and fostering a strong community around the sport.
