Our Story

The club was founded in 1936 by a group of local tennis players, with a strong passion for tennis the club established a committee whereby they raised the funds to lay 4 bitumen courts, however just not enough to build a clubhouse. Fortunately, a local builder came to the rescue and built the clubhouse at a cost of four hundred Pounds. The clubhouse opened in 1938.

The club has a long and continuous history of running competitive social tennis on weekends and weekdays, with a strong membership base the club has maintained a well-planned financial surplus.
