Junior Competition is available to all members aged 18 years & younger.  Parents are encouraged to support their children and are required to assist with transport & rotational team management.

The lower grades are made up almost entirely of younger players – so there is scope for players from approx. 8 years old. We will assist with any information to get you started in a suitably graded team.

Many of our more advanced juniors are given the opportunity to play Junior Tennis Victoria Pennant representing the NEJTA in the later stages of each year.

Competitions Available:

North Eastern Junior Tennis Association (NEJTA)

NEJTA is played on Saturday mornings during terms 1 and 2 and caters to a wide range of tennis skills and ages.  

The format ranges from doubles only for children starting out in tennis to two doubles and one singles for higher sections. NEJTA opens the door for players to attend other Tennis Victoria premier events, such as Wayne Arthurs Cup (10/u event), Frank Sedgeman Cup (11/u event), Alicia Molik Cup (12/u) event, Associations Junior Pennant, and Intra-Associations events, including Daphne Fancutt Shield (14-18/u event), and Pat Pearce Memorial event.

Diamond Valley Tennis Association (DVTA)

The DVTA Friday night competition is a singles-only competition that starts at 6 p.m. It runs through terms 1 and 2 and is not played in the school holidays. The format is teams of 4, with each player playing two sets of singles on the night.

Note: For both compettiions, Autumn season runs during school terms 1 & 2 and the Spring season runs during school terms 3 & 4. There are breaks during public holidays and school holidays.

1. If your child will not be entering next season, I would be grateful if you can let the Junior manager know before the closing date, so that numbers can be assessed.
2. Your child must be a financial member to play. It is imperative that you pay your fees when they become due so that your child stays insured and you continue to receive club information.
