Social Hitting
From the 1st Friday in October, 2024 we will open the 4 courts at 5.30pm for all competition, social and family members at a cost of a gold coin for any players who just want to try the courts and have a social hit - this covers the cost of the tennis balls. It would help if all players could bring a tasty dish to share. If the concept proves popular during the summer months and the lights are not being used we may well reduce the cost - it covers the cost of the lights together with good quality tennis balls supplied.
All levels of players are welcome, and for social and family members it may be an opportunity to organise other hits amongst yourselves as I am often asked if I know the availability of the other non-competition members. Also an opportunity for all the competition members who play on different nights or Saturday afternoon to get to know each other.
If at some stage any social or family members wish to start to play competition it will be a good guide to check what level you are at.
