Senior tennis offers a friendly and relaxed way to stay active, connected and competitive. Players enjoy solid rallies, great sportsmanship and the simple pleasure of being on court with others who love the game. Senior Weekend Competitions

Saturday afternoon teams currently play in the Eastern Region Tennis (ERT) Senior Competition, with both Open Sets and Singles/Doubles formats available.

Saturday Open Team

This photo features our Saturday Open team, a flexible and inclusive format where any combination of four players can take the court together. On this occasion, we had a couple of spectators along to cheer the team on, adding to the great match‑day atmosphere.

True to the Bayswater North spirit, this team included two husband and wife combinations, highlighting once again how often family and tennis go hand in hand at our club.

Many of our members play across multiple teams and formats, and that is part of what makes Saturdays so enjoyable. It means we get to play alongside familiar faces, challenge different opposition and experience tennis in new ways each week.

Saturday Open matches are played as six eight‑game sets, with a tie break at eight games all, making for long rallies, tight finishes and plenty of excitement right to the final point.
