ITF Masters World Championships
Altona TC has been fortunate to have Isai Torres and Richard Dodson selected in the World Championships for the 40’s and 50’s. Both players are highly ranked in their respective age groups for singles and doubles. The tournament is held in Turkey.

Altona TC Senior Club Championship has been delayed until later in year as there wasn’t a lot of interest. Club Championships has been postponed until later in the year. There will be a senior’s event that has been arranged in late April. Altona TC will provide further communications about the event in the coming days.

Geelong Lawn Tennis Club hosted an ITF MT400 event last week. The event was coordinated over 4 days. During the 4 days, there were some really competitive matches played. We had several players from Altona TC participate in singles, doubles and mixed doubles events. Ben Britton won the final in 30’s event. His match went for over 3 hours. Richard Dodson won the 50’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles events. Congratulations to Ben and Richard.

Our Senior Club Championship will be played Saturday, 15 April 2023 and Sunday, 16 April 2023. This allows members to have tough competition before pennant commences. The events that the club is offering are: 1. Women’s and Men's Open Championships 2. Women’s and Men’s Doubles Championships 3. Graded singles events for Women’s and Men’s.
