Visit from Bacchus Marsh Tennis Club
On Wednesday, 14th, several ladies from Bacchus Marsh enjoyed a morning of social tennis with Phillip Island Tennis Club members at our courts.
The visiting ladies were on the Island for three days, staying at the Ventnor holiday home of one one of their members. It is the first time since 2017
that thet have come, as this former annual event hadn’t been organized since COVID which upset so many other plans.
Thanks to Alison and Mandy for organizing the morning’s competitive tennis which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A delicious lunch, provided by the locals, topped off a pleasant time, before our visitors needed to leave for home, hoping to beat the worst of Melbourne’s traffic.
Hopefully this event can become a regular activity once again.
Tennis Holiday Program
Club Coach Paul Rowbottom conducted his popular Tennis Holiday Program at the club on 5, 6 and 7 January 2026 with around 20 young tennis enthusiasts enjoying three days of learning the art of tennis and having fun.
Club Christmas Party
The club had it's Christmas get-together, at the club, on Friday 19 December . More than 20 members enjoyed a balmy night for some tennis, great conversation, and a BYO food social gathering for members and their families. It was great to see other members of the families of some of our regular tennis players.

2025 Junior and Senior Club Championships
The club held its 2025 Junior and Senior Club Championships on Sunday 16 November. Around 50 people attended to play or watch and enjoy the atmosphere of a great event, beautifully organised by our Club Coach Paul Rowbottom. Attendees saw some fantastic tennis over the course of the day and also enjoyed refreshments and delicious food.
For details and photos of the event click on the "Championships" and "2025 Event" tabs
Seniors Week/Month Events
The club conducted a social event for all seniors (club members and non-club members) with a Round Robin to celebrate Seniors Week. The event was held from 9am to 12 noon on Sunday 26 October. Whilst the "severe weather" alert may have deterred many from attending, twelve "seniors" showed up, and the weather (mostly) held up so they were able to get a couple of hours of tennis in and enjoy a great morning tea and a game of "cornhole" during a 30 minute "light rain" break.
In addition to this one-off event, for the whole month of October the club welcomed non-members to join our social tennis sessions on Thursday mornings at 9:30am, Thursday afternoons at 1:00pm, and Saturday afternoons at 1:00pm.
Junior Winter Competition
Seven teams represented the Philip Island Tennis Club in the 2025 Junior winter competition. Section 1, 3 (two teams) and 5 played finals and Section 3 (Phillip Island White) and Section 5 were runner's up in their division.
