Welcome to the Buninyong and District Tennis Association. The "Home of Community Tennis"

 

The BDTA “Hot Shots Program will commence on Saturday the 9th November.

Ideally suitable for 5+ or school age.

This program is designed as a pre cursor for our ORANGE Ball Club Competition in 2025.

Our aim: To create a fun and engaging environment with our professional coach Peter Joyce.

The Buninyong & District Tennis Association now welcomes new players for the 24/25 Summer Season of tennis.

Starting with Juniors Saturday mornings and Seniors Saturday afternoons, and Ladies midweek competition.

Summer of tennis 2024/25 starts on Saturday the 12th October through to 14th December 2024

Re-starting on 1st February to 15th March, with finals starting on 22nd March, and Grand Final 29th March 2025.

The Buninyong & District Tennis Association AGM was held on Tuesday the 6th of August 2024, 

at the Buninyong Tennis Centre.

We wish to thank the outgoing Secretary Peter Joyce for his tireless efforts for the last 4 years and we welcome in Bridget Dyer as our new Secretary for the BDTA.

PARTICIPATION GROWTH & PLANNING MEETING 

On Wednesday 3rd July, 2024

Our panel was made up of:

Professor Rochelle Eime (Federation University) – Director PASI (Physical Activity & Sports Insights: PASIglobal.com) who spoke on the trends in youth sport participation.

Kate-lyn Perkins from Tennis Victoria who spoke during the meeting regarding  relevant to the current tennis landscape..

Caitlin and Michael from Sports Central Ballarat who provided insights into marketing, club support and attracting new players.

The night was very informative and we covered a lot of topical issues, mainly concerning the growth of tennis participation.

And as such, we welcome back all players from last season and welcome new players to our summer season of tennis.

Whether you are a junior starting, played tennis previously and wish to get back into the game or would love to play midweek in the ladies competition, we will warmly welcome you.

The BDTA welcomes new players for our upcoming 2024/25 Summer of tennis. We have places for our juniors, midweek ladies and Senior competition starting in early October 2024.

Buninyong and District Tennis Association was formed in 1945 and has evolved into the 14 clubs now affiliated and playing within senior, junior and midweek ladies competitions.

Proudly celebrating our 90th birthday in 2024.

We offer coaching for junior players. Many of these juniors also play in the Buninyong & District Tennis Association's Saturday Competition.

We are affiliated with Tennis Victoria who have provided a resource sheet below for the benefit of our clubs and members.
