Have you ever considered being a volunteer? If yes, this is your perfect opportunity to play your favourite sport and also get involved in running the club. If not then let's get you thinking about volunteering for some exciting positions as listed below.

The Club Committee gets re-elected every year during the Annual General Meeting where these positions become vacant and are filled via a nomination process. PRESIDENT

The President will provide overall leadership to the club, committee and performance of the club. The President will lead the annual planning of the club, help the committee prioritise its goals, keep the committee on track to achieve what is outlined in the club plan as well as facilitate the committee meetings.


VICE PRESIDENT

The Vice-President will support the President in providing leadership to the club, including organising the committee and over-seeing the performance of the club. The Vice-President will step into the Presidents role in their absence.


SECRETARY

The Secretary is charged with managing the administration of the tennis club and is the link between members, prospective members, the committee and external organisations. The Secretary is also responsible for ensuring all legal documents and requirements are up to date as well as organising documents for meetings and communication to key stakeholders.


TREASURER

The Treasurer is responsible for the financial supervision of the club, which allows the committee to focus on providing strong governance of the club. The Treasurer will work closely with the President providing financial updates and reports to allow them to best manage the club as well as complying with all financial reporting obligations contained in the club rules and the Incorporated Associations legislation.


PUBLIC OFFICER

The Public Officer is responsible for liaising with Council, Tennis Victoria and Tennis Australia officials.


BOOKING COORDINATOR

The Booking Coordinator is responsible for managing "Book a Court" online system for any Coaching, Social, Competition, School bookings.


SOCIAL ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR

The Social Activities Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the social activities of the club.


SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR

The Sponsorship Coordinator of the club is responsible for organising financial support for any required areas of the club as identified by the Club President. This includes applying for grants and seeking club, event and equipment sponsors.


COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

The Communications Coordinator will coordinate all communications and publicity to club members and external stakeholders. They will maintain the club's website, newsletter, social media accounts and work with any local media sources if required.


MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

The role of Maintenance Coordinator is to keep a priority list of jobs and repairs required, and to recruit members or externals to undertake work as needed.


MEMBER PROTECTION INFORMATION OFFICER

The Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) is the first point of call for any enquiries, concerns or complaints about harassment or abuse. The MPIO will provide information and support to any person/s requiring assistance. They can also provide information on club policies and procedures within the club.


COMPETITION CONVENOR

The role of the Competition Convener is to organise and coordinate the junior or senior competition and teams. This requires entering teams into the relevant competitions, attend association AGM's and relevant meetings.


MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

The Membership Coordinator is charged with managing the club membership and participation offerings. This includes working with the committee and relevant club people to establish a working membership model and offering as well as administering the registration process.


GENERAL COMMITTEE MEMBER

The role of a general committee member is to provide support to the President and other committee members to ensure the club sets and meets its goals and objectives, is administered according to the club rules and completes all legal and compliance obligations.
