Tuesday Night Ladies Tennis Always on the lookout for new players, we are a welcoming, friendly, tennis loving group. This comp suits working and non-working ladies. We start play at 7pm and play two sets in a row, usually finishing between 9pm - 9.20pm. Our competition cycles through the year. We don’t play during any school holidays.

· Winter comp includes term 2 to end of term 3.

· Summer comp includes term 4 till end of term 1 the following year. A selection group meet at the end of each comp to grade payers for next seasons competition. With a view to longevity and support of all players we fully subscribe to the concept of fairly structured teams rather than accepting teams of players who want to play together. Format-

· Each team is composed of 5 players graded from 1 to 5.

· Each player plays two sets to 9 games, (tiebreaker if scores are 8 all)

· 1st set, 1 & 2 v 1 & 2. 3 & 4 v 3 & 4. 2nd set, 1 & 3 v 1 & 3, 2 & 4 v 2 & 4.

· Wins are decided on sets won. In the event of equal sets, total games won are used to decide the winning team.

· A point is allocated for each set won and another point to the winning team on the night.

· For a drawn match .5 of a point is allocated to each team. The last Tuesday of winter and summer competitions we celebrate with dinner and trophy presentations. Please don’t hesitate to contact 0400061739 (Marg Leddin) for any further queries.
