Fence and Gates
Funding Acknowledgement Statement
LSGP 2022-230050. Western Suburbs Lawn Tennis Association Limited.
The project included fencing along the coaching courts to ensure compliance with child safety guidelines provided by Tennis NSW. It also included a gate dedicated to entry for students from Rose Street that can be locked.
Furthermore, a gate was installed directly onto Arthur Street to assist our volunteers taking out the green bins which are heavy, and ensures the volunteers don't have to wheel the bins through the courts.
The project was funded by the NSW Government in association with Western Suburbs Lawn Tennis Association.
Without the financial assistance provided by the NSW Government grants the sporting associations would not be able to provide safe infrastructure for the members, coaching students and the community using the facility.
Our Board of Directors and members are very appreciative of the grant process.
Complete scope of works:
-
Fencing along court 6
-
New gate onto court 6
-
New gate on court 5 along Rose St and
-
New gate on Arthur Street rear of court 2 completed on 16 May.
The fencing along the coaching courts ensures the club complies with Safeguarding Children Policy of Tennis NSW and Inner West Council.
The gate in Arthur Street is a great help to our Volunteers when taking out the green waste bins on Arthur Street. Prior to the installation of the gate the heavy bins were brought through the courts and around to the street.
The club received letters of support from Inner West Council and Tennis NSW.
The club appreciates the opportunity to apply for the grants to further improve the infrastructure of the Council ‘s Community Spaces and provide safe playing areas for our members, coaching students, schools and community hirers.
