Lesson Summary:

Red Ball Lessons: 3:30 to 4pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 – 9.00 am Saturday morning for beginners up to the age of approx 8 years old. $11 per lesson.

Orange and Green Ball Lessons: 4.00 to 5.00pm each week day and 9.00 – 10.00 am Saturday morning for older beginners and intermediate players.  $15.00 per lesson.

Squads: 5.00 – 6.30 pm each week day Monday and Thursday for advanced students. $20.00 per lesson.

Online booking and payment is also available by clicking on the link below. The prices shown for each class are for a full  term after deducting public holidays. The program calculates how many days are remaining in the term and modifies your fee accordingly.

Students are requested to join the club as “Junior Hotshots Members” for an annual fee of $40. For this, students have access to free daytime court hire for the year if playing with another member, and a new racquet and T Shirt for new coaching students.  Tennis Queensland Registration is included offering

-          Access to early tickets to Aust Open and Brisbane International events

-          Player insurance

-         Eligibity to play in TQ tournaments.

ANZ Hot Shots

The ANZ Hotshots program is based on a “Learning through play” philosophy. The modified racquets and low compression balls (which bounce lower, slower and are much easier to contact) enable the development of tennis skills faster. The Red, Orange and Green stages offer a clear pathway.

Red Stage: 4 Students per Coach, 30 Minute Lesson

Orange Stage: 6 Students per Coach, 60 Minute Lesson 

Green Stage: 6 Students per Coach, 60 Minute Lesson

Hot Shots Match Play

Tennis Rockhampton’s Hot Shot Match play is for juniors aged 12 and under who are not yet ready to play fixtures. Hot Shots Match play has been developed as an addition/ progression from coaching classes to playing the game of tennis, and a step towards playing fixtures and tournaments.

We encourage your child to come and try even if they cannot serve or rally competently. Match play has been designed to further develop all the skills need to play a tennis match.

DEVELOPMENT SQUAD

Description: Tennis Rockhampton’s Development squad is for all levels of play. Its main focus is further developing stroke production, court awareness, rallying skills and consistency. This squad is perfect for those wanting TO START PLAYING tournaments.

Ages: 12+ years

Tennis Ball: Yellow Ball (100 per cent compression)

Racquet Size: Full Size 27 inches

Ratio: 6 students to a coach

Lesson Length: 90 minutes

PERFORMANCE SQUAD

Description: Tennis Rockhampton’s Performance Squads are the next progression for those already playing competitions and tournaments. Focussing on fine tuning stroke technique, games based drills, match play and court fitness.

Ages: 12+ years
