MP Region

The Peninsula Tennis Association (PTA) and Mornington Peninsula region (MPR) are a harmonious blend of metropolitan and regional representation, the result of the historic merger between the Mornington Peninsula Tennis Association (MPTA) and the Frankston Districts Tennis Association (FDTA) in 2000. This integration has shaped the Mornington Peninsula region, now an integral part of the unified PTA.

So, how does it function? Tennis Victoria organizes tournaments and events throughout the year for various associations and regions. Among these events, there are exclusive opportunities for regional teams, allowing the Mornington Peninsula region to actively engage and contribute.

It is recognized by Tennis Victoria that the Mornington Peninsula region is unique in its composition, encompassing distinctive country areas with an urban fringe. As such, it fits the criteria for both country and metropolitan events.
