Member Information
COURT USE PROCEDURE
- Wear appropriate tennis attire, including approved footwear suitable for tennis courts.
- For en-tout-cas courts (courts 1 & 2): Water the court thoroughly before play if they appear dry, and bag the court fence to fence afterwards. Do not use them if they are too wet.
- For synthetic clay courts (courts 3 - 8): Bag courts fence to fence after each session of play.
- Return drag mats and line brooms to their appropriate place.
- Our Club-Coach agreement stipulates that only authorised club coaches may provide coaching services at the club.
- Please report any maintenance issues to maintenance@northbalwyntc.org.au (preferably with photos).
BOOKING COURTS
- Access to the booking system is by invitation only, email enquiries@northbalwyntc.org.au with your name and email address to register.
- Courts can be booked under the 'Book Court’ tab above.
- Bookings are not essential but are advised. If a court is booked, the booking takes priority over casual users. Juniors may be registered to book by a parent or guardian.
- Do not make bookings for service practice or use of a ball machine and please cancel any court booking that you are not using or if you finish early.
VISITORS TO THE CLUB
- A member may bring up to 3 visitors at a time (children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult), for a maximum of 6 visits.
- Visitor fees ($5 per 30 minutes per visitor) are payable, and names should be provided at the time of booking courts.
CLUBHOUSE
- Access cards open the front gate, front door, and rear door of the clubhouse. Lost access cards will only be replaced with a fee of $20.
- Court light switches are located inside the front entrance on the right-hand side.
- Always keep facilities clean and tidy. Wash, dry and put away your own dishes.
- The last member to leave the clubhouse should turn off lights, air conditioning, heater, lock side sliding doors and leave via the front sliding doors.
- Smoking is not allowed in the clubhouse or grounds and within 10 metres of the club perimeter.
- Dogs are not allowed in the clubhouse or grounds.
- Bicycles must not be ridden in the club grounds.

COMPETITION & ORGANISED SOCIAL TENNIS

SUPPLY OF TENNIS BALLS
- Tennis balls are provided by the Club for competition and organised social play.
- Both new and used tennis balls are available for sale to members at a price set by the Committee.
A CHILD SAFE CLUB
- North Balwyn Tennis Club is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people who participate in our club’s activities. We support the rights of the child and will act at all times to ensure that a child safe environment is maintained. We also support the rights and wellbeing of our coaches and volunteers and encourage active participation in building and maintaining a secure and safe environment for all participants. This is covered by our Child Safety Policy and Child Safety Code of Conduct.
