Marion Tennis Club – redevelopment and Temporary relocation update
Dear Marion Tennis Club family,
As our Summer 25/26 Home & Away Season officially draws toward a close, I would like to sincerely thank all of our players, parents, and extended families for your ongoing support, enthusiasm, and participation throughout the season.
Your involvement continues to make Marion Tennis Club such a fantastic community to be part of.
I would also like to share some incredibly exciting news with you, along with some important information about temporary arrangements for the club.
One of the best facilities in SA
We’re are incredibly excited to inform you that, on February 26, State Labor Member for Gibson Sarah Andrews MP pledged $1.5 million to rebuild the Marion Tennis Club Precinct should the Malinauskas Government be re-elected.
This commitment follows a $1.1 million commitment to our club by the City of Marion, in November 2024.
Under a re-elected Malinauskas Labor Government the club will therefore secure $2.6 million to build one of the best racquet sports facilities in South Australia.
The redevelopment will comprise of 6 tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts and a redeveloped club room. The club will move across to the other side of the Marion Sport Precinct, where will enjoy the benefits and exposure of a Sturt Rd frontage.
We will share more news on this incredibly exciting project following the Stare Election on March 21.
Our redevelopment, and the redevelopment of the South Adelaide Basketball Club, will necessitate that we move to temporary facilities for at least the next 6 months.
