Mallacoota Youth & Sports Club

The Mallacoota Youth and Sports Club was founded in 1971 when members built the initial tennis courts at the current site adjacent the recreation reserve and the National Trust certified ancient ‘Mallacoota Gum’.

The club runs on a cooperative basis with volunteer committee members attending to the organisation of the facilities and events within the club.  The club also runs badminton activities for members in the nearby sports hall.  The club welcomes new members and their involvement in the running of the club.

Since the devastating 2019-20 bushfires the club has worked with Tennis Victoria, the Mallacoota P-12 College and Reclink Australia to involve children and families in tennis and to generate new interest in the sport.

We offer social tennis, kids programs and skills development for kids and adults.

Facilities

• 2 mod grass courts and 1 asphalt court.  
• The only workable floddlights are on Court 3.(asphalt court).  The floodlights will operate automatically through the Book A Court system.
• The club house is a small brick building to the west of court 1, and has limited facilities. 
• There are external toilet facilities to the south of the courts in the Lions Park, and a drinking fountain to the north of courts 1 and 2.
