The Maccabi Tennis Club Section 4 Tuesday night doubles team capped off a stellar season by winning the Grand Final 5 rubbers to 1 against Glenhuntly.

The Maccabi team lost only once during the regular season, winning ten times and with an imposing percentage of 186.74%.

Led by inspirational skipper Joel Rabinov, the Premiership winning team also featured Jack EydlishWayne Myers and Roman Maevsky and were ably supported with important contributions during the season from Nathan RapoportEvgeni Grishin and Natalee Nahoom. The team were also presented with the Vince Vaughan Memorial Shield for the "best performed Tuesday night team" across all four sections of the Tuesday night doubles competition.

Maccabi Tennis Club offers the chance to play competition tennis over the weekends. Due to increased demand, MTC has entered teams in the Bayside Regional Tennis Association (BRTA) Tuesday night doubles competition. The Section 1 team, led by Pennant Cordinator Adam Needleman (and filled by pennant players), had been successful in making numerous finals.

Joel Rabinov was tasked with creating a second team. Joel sought to include former teammates Jack Eydlish and Roman Maevsky (who found it easier to commit to playing on weeknights, rather than on the weekend). He also utilised regular pennant player(and team-mate) Nathan Rapoport, along with three members of the successful mixed doubles team (Wayne Myers, Evgeni Grishin and Natalee Nahoom).
