Team manager

Role of the Team Manager:

Between Clubs, there may be slight variations in the role of the team manager, but generally, the following guidelines might be useful:

The Team Manager will generally oversee the organisation and smooth running of the team. If there are more than 3 (2 for Pennant) in a team, the team manager may need to organise a roster. For any children who have not played before they might require additional information e.g. starting time, fees etc.

Team managers decide on the order of merit of players. Players can rotate positions during the first 5 weeks to assist with deciding ongoing positions. Once the Order of Merit has been decided, this cannot be changed except when a player is absent. Other team members may then be moved up the ranking accordingly. Players must not be moved down in the order of merit. E.g. A number 1 ranked player cannot play at the number 3 position at any time. A Club may request a change to the playing order only up to the final home and away match. This must be in the form of an email to the K&DJTA committee to discuss and decide. No changes are permitted during the Finals series.

Team managers are responsible for opening up the clubhouse and providing the balls at home games.

Home managers input results on MatchCentre and away managers approve the results of the matches.

If you experience any difficulties talk to your Junior Club Co-Ordinator or an Executive Member of the Association.
