About our a mid-week Adult night competition!

NB next comp will start  19.8.2025    please register your interest ... it's not too late to go on the sub list!

Our tennis club sub committee co-ordinates these nights 

Tuesday & Thursday Nights - coordinated by Brenda Phillis 

• 7.00 -approx 9.30pm: Div 2  

 Wednesday Nights - coordinated by Stepen & Adrienne

• 7.30 -10pm: Div 1

WE have just finished our TROPHY COMP where the winners are etched into our proud histroy by having their names engraved on our perpertual trophy.

Div 1 winners  Craig Moffat, peter Baxter, Bob Blacker   well done guys

Div 2 winners: Jason Fitzmaurice. Vicki Palmer, Amber Masterton (Anita subed) great game 

sometime if there is enough interest - During the winter break come down and play on Wednesday nights for singles and doubles social 7.30pm. (its been so cold and rainy this year it didn't happen)  

• Our night competitions are lots of fun and a great way to mix with people in the community
• We cater for all abilities because the comps are run under a handicap system which means if you improve during the comp you may well be part of the winning team

There are 2 comps per year:

• SPRING COMP: (August - November) often called our "Fun Comp" or  Spring comp 
• AUTUMN COMP: (February - June) often called our "Trophy Comp"  or Autumn comp

Our perpetual Trophy goes back to 1980 - so much history!

Holding the B grade trophy are 2 children of parents whose names are on the trophy (Senna and Lucian)

Div 1 Autumn Comp 

Winners 2023

Derek Nolan, Angus Wray and Adrienne Ebsworth narrowly reached the finals by winning their semi by 1 game. The very last game decided the winner - it was nail bitting stuff. They then  went on to be the 2023 winners.

The level of tennis in this comp has been outstanding. We watched in awe of our top players, Anthony, Stephen, Derek, John and Andrew as they battled it out.

We must also commend our fabulous group of younger ladies Chloe, Josie, Leah, Christina and Jennifer who played fabulous tennis. Of course, the rest of us enjoyed being part of such a good comp.

Chloe Wotton and Stephen Hemsley pictured with the perpetual trophy, celebrate their win with a glass of bubbly. The ball in Stephen’s hand follows his father’s ritual of joining a tennis ball from the finals to a tennis ball from a previous winning competition. We love that idea Stephen!
