AT LAST!

Monday Night Mixed Doubles and A Grade Men Weekly Competitions got underway!

Whilst weekly competitions resumed from Wednesday 10th June, we were unable to play the following two Monday evenings due to wet weather.

It was good to finally get out there and enjoy a very cold and still evening, with over 50 players involved.

Players have adapted to the new ‘playing etiquette’ and were very conversant with new terminology and behaviours that included:

• COVID-19
• COVIDSafe & COVIDSafe app.
• ‘self-isolate’
• ‘14-day self-quarantine’
• ‘flattening the curve’
• ‘good hygiene’
• ‘social / physical distancing’ (1.5metres)
• Density (one person per 4 square metres) and social distancing
• Post-match touching of racquets and elbow touches
• ‘Roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions’
• ‘Stop the Spread’
