Conditions

Vermont Tennis Club is an inclusive, community focused and family orientated club managed by volunteers that aims to promote health & wellbeing through the sport of tennis. The following expectations of behavior and protocols are in place to ensure a harmonious and friendly place for members, spectators and visitors:

• Members and visitors are expected to be courteous and considerate to others at all times. • Preference for court usage is given to competition and coaching.

• Coaching by anyone other than the club coach or their staff is not permitted.

• A visitor fee of $5 per person is required for non member players. Payable to the red box.

• No ripple soled shoes for the en tout cas courts. Flat sole tennis shoes are required to play on these courts.

• En tout cas courts are to be bagged after playing. In the warmer weather they need to be watered before and after each set.

• Family of junior members who want to hit with their children are expected to become members

• During busy times, courts may be used for a maximum of 1 hour. Players should exercise common sense to give all members an opportunity to play.

• During Junior matches, do not get involved in making line calls, or attempting to determine the score or other on-court matters.

• Wait until a point is over before walking behind a court where a rally is in progress. Likewise to retrieve a ball from another court or to return a ball to another court. • Membership does not include court light usage. For members, if courts are available after coaching and night competition the cost is $10 per hour with cash to be paid in the red box.

• Not including Club Coaches, Ball Bucket/Basket or Machine use is only allowed during non-peak periods and should not be used adjacent to courts during competition matches. Members using these items for practice should adjust their drills or pause their session if balls are encroaching onto the neighbouring court on a regular basis

• Any individual WDTA & BDNTA match has a maximum of 2 courts

• Any dishes & cutlery that you have used need to be washed, dried and put away. Likewise if you have used the BBQ, this needs to be cleaned after use.

• If you are the last to leave the facility please ensure all doors & gates are locked and all lights have been switched off for both the courts and clubrooms

• The Club is a public facility. You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times

• Court Usage times are strictly between 6am -10pm. Be considerate to our neighbours at all times
