Junior Competition

UBTC enters Junior tennis teams into the Berwick & District Tennis Association Junior Competition (BDTA) held on Saturday and Sunday mornings (depending on section/ grade).

The Winter Season is held during Term 2 & 3, and the Summer Season is held during Term 4 & 1, with no play over the school holidays.

Safeguarding Children

In accordance with the guidelines provided by Tennis Victoria, UBTC is dedicated to creating a safe and secure environment for all children, and we are committed to being a child-safe organisation.

As such, we require all club members, volunteers, and visitors to adhere to the child safety guidelines outlined on the Tennis Victoria website, which includes the following two mandatory documents:

• Tennis Victoria - Member Protection Policy
• Tennis Victoria - Safeguarding Children Code of Conduct

It is worth noting that these guidelines and documents are continually updated by Tennis Victoria, and we urge all to stay up to date with any changes.

Senior Competition

UBTC enters Senior tennis teams into the Waverley & District Tennis Association (WDTA) and the Tennis Victoria Pennant Competition (dependant on players). 

WDTA is played in both the Summer Season (October – March) and the Winter Season (April – September), with no play over the school holidays. Tennis Victoria Pennant is played only during the Winter Season (April – September).

Mid-Week Ladies Competition

UBTC enters a Mid-Week Ladies team into the Dandenong & District Tennis Association (DDTA) played on Wednesdays.

DDTA is played in both the Autumn Season (February – June) and the Spring Season (July – November), with no play over the school holidays.

Intra-Club Night Tennis

The Upper Beaconsfield Tennis Club offers in-house Night Competition Tennis on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Nights commencing at 7:30pm.

• Monday Night Tennis Competition -Intermediate standard, inter-club structured tennis competition running over Term 1 & Term 2, then Term 3 & Term 4.
• Tuesday Night Tennis Competition -Intermediate to Advanced standard, inter-club structured tennis competition running over Term 2 & Term 3, then Term 4 & Term 1.
• Wednesday Night Social Tennis -Intermediate to Advanced standard, non-structured social tennis hit. If you are interested in having a social hit, simply show up on the night
• Thursday Tennis Competition -Beginner to Intermediate standard, inter-club structured tennis competition running over Term 1 & Term 2, then Term 3 & Term 4.

Please note: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Night Competition Tennis are continually looking for emergency tennis players. If you are an UBTC member who can’t commit to a particular night but would like the option to be called upon to fill in occasionally, please let us know!
