Junior League

The Association’s  Toowoomba and District Junior Tennis League is conducted during school terms. A new season is run each term. 

Sessions are held on Fridays from 4:00pm to 6:30pm, at James Street.

Players are able to nominate themselves or be nominated by their coaches. They can also nominate as a team but the club reserves the right to review the players in each team.

Please note that Junior League has not yet commenced in 2023.

Junior Development Series

Each year the Association hosts one of the Toowoomba legs of the Tennis Queensland South Region Junior Development Series. These tournaments are designed mainly to give juniors their initial experiences in Tennis Queensland-sanctioned tournaments. All standards are encouraged to enter.

Toowoomba Age Championships

Each year, usually in August, the Association stages the Toowoomba Age Tennis Championships. The event is part of Tennis Australia’s Junior Tour. Some events carry Australian Ranking points.

Private coaching

Several coaches offer lessons at the centre. For more information, enquire at the Pro Shop or check the noticeboards at the centre.

Perrett Shield

Juniors can gain selection in our Perrett Shield team which competes each year against a team representing Ipswich.

Duncan Thompson Cup & Alder Cup

Each year, juniors can win selection in the club’s Alder Cup team which also plays against Ipswich. The Alder Cup and Duncan Thompson Cup competition for adults are held concurrently
