How to get selected into an Australian Masters (Seniors) Team
Selection to represent Australia in a Masters (Seniors) team is open to all Australian-based players aged 30+ in the year of the championships. Competition for selection in each 5-year age group can be fierce and would generally be attainable by strong high-division pennant players in WA with a singles UTR of around 8 or higher (Men) and 6 or higher (Women) in the middle age groups. Players should also have competed well in at least two ITF Masters tour events (MT700+) in the year leading up to selection. The annual calendar of ITF and other Seniors events in Australia can be found on the TSA website here.
Further detail from that provided below about how to build your profile towards eligibility can be obtained by contacting the Competitive Play and Pathways Team at Tennis West.
