The Thursday Night competition offers a fun, flexible evening option for women who enjoy doubles tennis in a relaxed and social setting.
Format & Features

Women’s doubles

Two players per team
-
Matches consist of two 6-game sets
-
A 10-point tie-break is played if sets are one-all
-
No requirement to provide food
-
All matches for each division are played at a central location each season
This format keeps the competition streamlined, social, and easy to commit to, while still offering great quality tennis.
Timing

Matches commence at 7:00pm

Play usually finishes by 8:30pm
Season Dates

Autumn: February – June

Spring: mid-July – November

The Thursday Night season is aligned as closely as possible with school and university holidays

No tennis is played during school holidays

Autumn competition 2026- 12th February through to 18th June
Above all, Thursday Night Tennis provides a fun, healthy way to spend a Thursday evening, whether you’re returning to tennis or looking for a regular social competition.
