At the South Wagga Tennis Club, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and sustainable environment for players of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Our Strategic Plan 2023–2028 sets out a clear vision and actionable priorities to guide the club over the next five years, ensuring growth, community engagement, and long-term success.

Our Vision

“Create a sustainable facility and operating model, providing a safe and inviting environment for all abilities, genders, and culturally & linguistically diverse communities.”

To achieve this vision, we focus on five Strategic Pillars:


1. Infrastructure

We are investing in high-quality facilities to enhance the experience for all members and visitors:

  • Replace the existing clubhouse

  • Upgrade lighting to energy-efficient LED

  • Ensure all-abilities access to all facilitie

  • Provide spectator shade


2. Administration

Strong governance and professional management are key to our club’s sustainability:

  • Uplift maturity in club management

  • Improve Tennis NSW Venue Sustainability Rating (VSR)

  • Renew the Operating Agreemen

  • Align with local, state, and federal governing bodies (TA/TNSW)


3. Finance & Sponsorships

A financially sustainable club ensures continued growth and opportunity:

  • Stabilize club expenditure

  • Create new revenue streams

  • Develop tailored sponsorship packages

  • Sign sponsors to support programs and events


4. Social & Community Engagement

Building a vibrant, inclusive community is at the heart of our mission:

  • Promote participation for all ages, abilities, and community groups

  • Introduce the Women in Tennis Scholarship

  • Establish SWTC as Wagga’s tennis venue of choice


5. Membership & Marketing

Growing our membership and visibility strengthens the club and its programs:

  • Expand our membership base

  • Increase social media presence

  • Boost merchandise sales

  • Ensure no limits for women and girls on and off the court
