General Club Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

ALL MEMBERS

  1. Recognized tennis attire shall be worn on the courts at all times. Collared or  t-shirts, appropriate shorts, skirts or trackpants and non-marking shoes.
  2. Bad language, racquet abuse and poor sportsmanship shall not be tolerated.
  3. Members only are permitted to use the courts. Parents of junior members and children of senior members are not permitted to use the courts unless they become at least a social member of the club.
  4. Use of the courts under lights is only available for members from April to September each year. Each member who would like to use the courts under lights will be required to purchase a lights access pass for $50 in addition to club membership fees.
  5. Please note that coaching fees are payment for coaching sessions only – paid directly to the Coach - and does not include use of the courts outside of these. Club membership is required for court access.
  6. Any PHTC enquiries to be made directly to the club via parahillstennisclub@gmail.com or to Secretary. Do not interrupt coaching sessions or seek information from the Coach.
  7. Players are not to play more than one set during practice when other members are waiting for courts. Doubles practice matches must be played to accommodate waiting players.
  8. All members are expected to keep clubroom, courts and surrounding area clean and tidy at all times.
  9. Court gates and squeegies are to be padlocked upon departure.
  10. Player’s and spectators vehicles to be parked in car parking available at venue not on surrounding streets.
  11. Fees are due upon nomination. 

    The Membership/Social Fee enables a player to become a member of the Para Hills Tennis Club and enjoy the following benefits:
  •             Available for selection for PHTC for the summer and winter competitions
  •             Compete in the Club’s tournaments
  •             Vote at the AGM (seniors only)
  •             Nominate for a position on the Club Management Committee
  •             Free use of the PHTC courts without lights when competition or official events are not scheduled
  •             Invitation to all social events
  •             Insurance cover for public liability when using the courts
  •            TSA membership

The Competition Fee includes the above plus the competition’s nomination fee and ball costs.

 

    Club members pay for the upkeep of these facilities. They should not have to subsidize non-members. If you suspect someone using the courts is not a member please alert an official. 

   A parent is expected to remain at the courts with their child during practice and at matches. Children are not to be dropped off and picked up at a later time.
