John Carey MLA has been a huge supporter of the NPTC for many years, ever since commencing as a local councillor at the City of Vincent in 2011, then upon becoming Mayor in 2014. John was then elected as the Member for Perth in 2017 and, having served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier, Mark McGowan, and later as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Transport and Planning, Rita Saffioti, he was recently appointed as Minister for Housing and Minister for Local Government in the current McGowan government.
John has a long history of community involvement, having established the Beaufort Street Network and co-founding the wonderful Beaufort Street Festival. Always a strong supporter of local clubs and community groups, we were thrilled when he accepted our invitation to be our Club Patron. We look forward to John's suggestions and ideas toward  NPTC continuing its century of being an integral part of the local community. Welcome aboard JC!
